The global pandemic of 2020 changed the lives of many people. For some, it became a time of reflection on their purpose in life. You might have had some time to think about things during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). While it’s a sad year for the economy, it was a time of transformation for you and many others.
“Positivity”
These days, beautiful things are hard to come by. The term “positive” suddenly took a negative meaning – no thanks to it being associated with acquiring the COVID-19 virus. However, that doesn’t mean we should lose sight of who we are and what we want in life.
Staying “positive” should remain in its natural definition, which is to be happy, forward-looking, and optimistic. As the saying goes, one shouldn’t cry over spilled milk. We might have encountered a lot of problems this year, but our purpose should remain the same: to be happy and bring value to our life and others.
Fueling Our Motivation with Affirmation
The most beautiful thing about life is we always get a chance to get up every time we fall down, and become better after. Solving problems shouldn’t be our purpose in life – rather, it should be improving our lives.
To do this, what must we do then? We need to affirm our selves and increase our motivation by first being self-affirmative. This will boost our confidence and steady our direction in life, much like the captain of a ship navigates the sea or a torch lights our path. Say beautiful things to yourself, accept your shortcomings, and seek to improve them. Keep yourself beautiful.
Only with the power of our unrelenting spirit can we get through obstacles in life. If we do not make self-improvement our purpose, we will become stagnant, and repeatedly make the mistakes that cause our problems.
Keeping our mind and body beautiful
In the middle of quarantine, many people forget to take care of themselves. This is probably the reason why cases of depression rose in many countries during the middle of strict lockdowns. It has been scientifically proven that our health and physical condition can affect the way we think.
Failing to keep hygienic or seeing ourselves starting to look worse over time can contribute to the erosion of self-esteem. That’s why we should keep taking care of ourselves, not abandoning health and beauty regimens, even if we’re forced to stay inside our homes.
We at LuvMichelle Cosmetics believe in the power of keeping the purpose of self-improvement in our lives. As long as we have something to appreciate in ourselves and others, we can keep a steadily optimistic view of life. Now that’s true beauty inside out.
